We checked in the following morning and never got a "tour." We gave ourselves a tour and then returned to the office to ask if someone could meet us over by the lake/pond to take our picture. We didn't use the sundeck because it was our first time and we wanted to see the place and sun out around the pool. The hotel "deluxe" rooms have private baths and a really nice sun deck just outside the sliding glass doors. Those rooms are more like very small rooms ,8-10, under one roof and no private bathrooms but these use the bathroom building adjacent to the sleeping quarters. The room: LdS lists their accomodations and call these hotel rooms "deluxe or luxury" rooms and though they are clean, they are also dated, in need of sprucing up and are far from a "luxury" room but they are "deluxe" compared to the "standard" rooms that are cheaper. The guy at the gate gave us directions to the "hotel", we finally found it and our room. We arrived very late in the evening and the office was already closed. We stayed a few nights about 1.5 yrs ago and enjoyed LdS very much. I'm assuming since your name is PSP, you're well aware of DSR. We live about 2 hours away from LDS and we still prefer to go to DSR, we never went back to LDS. We did do the hike, but as soon as we saw some people across the river we turned around immediately and headed back to the resort. Also, they warned us to be careful if we took the trail over to the river, as the river also attracted neighborhood tough guys that had beaten a naked guest of LDS a few weeks before. We visited not long after they had arrested a murderer that was hiding out there (so it must have been 1999, quite awhile ago), he had killed a few people in Yosemite and was a member of Laguna Del Sol and was captured there. Seemed that most everybody was nude that we saw in and around the pools, and a mix everywhere else. We stayed in the hotel building across the pond, it was nice I suppose, nothing special. It really seemed to be a waste of time, but that was the deal. We were put on the back of a golf cart and driven around. We've been there, and yes, we had to have a tour appointment when we arrived. A tour might be nice but don't want to have our arrival time tied to a tour guide availability. Also not clear to us if new comers are required to take a tour on their first visit.

Just curious what the level of nudity is in and around the grounds, restaurants etc. (we will have a small dog.) I see that it is CO except in and and around the pool, like most naturist resorts.

Wondering if anyone on this board has been there. If so what are the accomodations like? I see they offer single rooms as well as park models. Wife and I will be traveling to northern CA this summer and thought about stopping at Laguna del Sol for a day.
